Description
The brave suit is an excellent light body armor piece in Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, equipped by all job classes except for knights (including most special knights), dragoons, samurai, mimes, and the dragonkin.
On top of raising HP and MP, the garb grants permanent Regen and Reraise.
Obtained
The brave suit is obtained via Melee mode in The War of the Lions PlayStation Portable version, or from the poachers' den in a save file that has completed the final battle in the IOS and iPadOS and Android ports.
The brave suit cannot be obtained in the original PlayStation version nor in The Ivalice Chronicles.
Use
Wearing a brave suit gives +160 HP, +40 MP, and provides permanent Reraise and Regen. Reraise restores the wearer to life on their next "turn" after being KO'd and nullifies Doom, and Regen restores ⅛ of the wearer's maximum HP on their turn, even if the unit was Undead. The brave suit is thus similar to the rare Chantage, only it also raises HP and MP.
The brave suit is great on any unit who can wear clothes. It could be good on Cloud who is limited to only light armor without Equip Heavy Armor. It could be good on Cidolfus Orlandeau, whose sword saint job can wear clothes, whereas knight types typically only wear heavy armor and robes.
As the brave suit is unique, the player may want to wear it alongside Safeguard. Balthier's sky pirate has it innately, and thus is also a good candidate for wearing unique equipment.
